Every Essence In-Wall Bottle Filler is built with future filtration in mind. Each unit ships with the filter head and waterway pre-installed at the factory, allowing non-filtered models to operate with a bypass plug today and upgrade to certified OASIS filtration later—without additional kits, re-plumbing, or wall rework.

Remove the bypass plug

Step 1

Remove the OASIS bypass plug with a quarter-turn, located in the filter head on your unit.

Install an OASIS filter cartridge

Step 2

Install an OASIS filter cartridge. OASIS indoor units can accept any OASIS indoor-certified filter, including VersaFilter III, Total PFAS, or Pharmaceutical filters.

Flush the filter

Step 3

Proceed with flushing the filter according to the filter instructions. Next update bottle filler settings to reset the filter life indicator.

What Is Filter Ready?

Filter Ready means the unit is already prepared for filtration before it ever arrives on site. Non-filtered Essence models include the filter head and internal plumbing required for future filtration, with a bypass plug installed for proper operation until a filter cartridge is added. When filtration is needed, simply remove the bypass plug and install a compatible OASIS indoor filter cartridge—no added retrofit kit, no re-plumbing, and no wall rework.
